Sunday: The First Day Of The Week?

KJV Matthew 28:1, In The end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.

The Scripture says "...it began to dawn toward the first day of the week..."

Since the sabbath day is commonly acknowledged to be the seventh (7th) day of the week as Saturday, the sabbath (day) is known as Saturday by the people of the world we know that the day after Saturday is Sunday.

We can therefore conclude from the Scripture KJV Matthew 28:1 that "Sunday" is actually the first day of the week by the Biblical Calendar.
